ATI and Nvidia to battle for PCIe GPU market in 4Q.

A battle for the PCIe GPU channel market between ATI Technologies and Nvidia looms in the fourth quarter, despite an ATI claim that it has delivered over one million native PCIe GPUs to the market, according to sources at Taiwan graphics card makers.

ATI is preparing for the release of its high-end graphic chip, the R600, with the chip expected to hit the market between the end of March and beginning of April, according to Taiwan-based graphic card makers.
