Amazing: ECS Fits Nvidia Ion, Blu-ray Into..a Vase.

Just don"t try to put water in it. Most of Computex is the same old nettops and netbooks, but on occasion you do see something that truly stands out. Yesterday we caught a glimpse of the Atom-based PC that was fitted inside a model Ferrari F430. If having a PC in the shape of an RC car isnò€™t your thing, how about a household decorative item? Elitegroup has managed to stuff a full Atom N230 system with a Blu-ray Disc drive inside this pretty blue and white vase. An Atom with Blu-ray, you ask? Yes, because most impressive of all is that this vase case contains an Nvidia Ion chipset. Most impressive, indeed. Ò  Check out the full gallery at Engadget.

Intel To Add More Segments In Its Naming Scheme For Montevina CPUs.
Intel"s has decided to extent the original naming scheme for its mobile CPUs and will add a P segment to CPUs targeting notebooks and an S class for small form factor PC CPUs to its upcoming Montevina range, which is scheduled to launch in June this year, according to sources at PC makers. Intel originally had four segments to separate the TDP levels of its notebook CPUs: X for the extreme segment, CPUs that have a TDP over 40W, T for mobile high-performance at 20-39W, L for mobile high energy efficient at 12-19W, and U for mobile ultra-high energy efficient with a TDP less or equal to 11.9W.

Las Vegas (NV) - Male size competitions, that"s what the battle of 100"+ HD TVs is being termed here at CES. It"s also a battle of timing, as two companies raced to announce their 108" TV"s.
