Asus Launches F50, F70 "Entertainment" Notebooks.

Asus today launched two new notebooks, the F50 and the F70, both geared toward the consumer entertainment market. A breath of fresh air when you consider all the netbook news weò€™ve been getting from Asus lately, the company is categorizing these two new additions to its line of notebooks asÒ  ò€œhigh definition mobile entertainment tailored specifically for users who desire both high definition audio visual entertainment and extensive multitasking capabilities on the move.ò€ While both come bundled with some pretty impressive specs, the press release sort of pushes the F50 series for graphics and the F70 series for storage. The F50GX packs an Nvidia 9400M chipset and the F70 comes with a 17.3-inch display (16:9 aspect ratio) and dual HDDs for storage of up to 1 TB. That aside, full specs are as follows. The F50GX comes with the option for Intelò€™s Core 2 Duo, Pentium, dual-core Celeron or Celeron (585 or 575), Nvidia GeForce 9400M chipset, capacity for up to 4 GB of DDR2 800 RAM with up to a 500GB HDD and is available in 15.6 inch or 16 inch models. Specs for the F50Z are the same when it comes to RAM specs and panel size. It comes with either a dual-core Turion 64 or a dual-core Athlon 64 and AMDò€™s M780G. As for the F70, again the option for Intelò€™s Core 2 Duo, Pentium, dual-core Celeron or Celeron (585 or 575), SiS 671 DX + SiS 968, up to 4GB of DDR2 800 RAM, a 17.3-inch 16:9 HD+ LED BLU display and that super fancy 1 TB dual HDD.
