Epox intros SLI boards for AMD and Intel processors.

Epox announced two new SLI-capable mainboards. The EP-9NPA+ SLI aims at Socket 939 AMD processors, while the EP-5NVA+SLI will accommodate Socket 775 Intel CPUs (FSB 800 and 1066). The devices support up to four GByte dual-channel DDR memory, integrate a Realtek sound solution with up to eight audio channels. Other standard equipment includes ten USB 2.0 connects, two P-ATA and four SATA II ports. The AMD board is available for about $200, the Intel version is priced at about $330. (THG)

CeBIT 2008: Samsung Presents LED Projector.
Samsung is introducing a new portable LED projector. The SP-P400B does not use a short-lived bulb but projects its images using LEDs as a light source. As a result, the device produces a lot less heat than conventional projectors, which means it does not require elaborate cooling and runs very quietly. As a bonus, it also draws less power.
