Intel pushes out low end Grantsdales.

Intel has quietly extended its "Grantsdale" Pentium 4 chipset family with a pair of low-end products, as anticipated. Neither the 915PL nor the 915GL have been formally announced so far as we can see, but the pair have now appeared on the chip maker"s website among the list of 915-series chipsets.

Global PDP shipments rose 3% in Q2.
Global PDP (plasma display panel) shipments rose only 3% sequentially in the second quarter of 2006 to 2.4 million panels, according to research firm DisplaySearch, noting that the growth was 8% slower than PDP manufacturers" aggregate forecasts.
