MC Hammer Now A Website Executive.

San Francisco (CA) - Stanley Burrell, better known as rapper MC Hammer, will come back into the music industry, but this time as the chief strategy officer of the new website DanceJam.com. The one-hit wonder and "where are they now?" punchline is also the co-founder of the site, which is set to launch later this month. DanceJam will start with $1 million in seed money and will try to become the new Youtube for dance videos. According to Ron Conway, an investor in the group who provided the initial funds, MC Hammer is actually savvy when it comes to Internet technology. "I expect him to integrate all his knowledge into this Web site. He is the lightning rod for this whole thing," said Conway in an Associated Press story. Hammer owes around $14 million in debt after his highly publicized and mocked bankruptcy in 1996. In recent years, he has reportedly been soaking up the high-tech lifestyle in Silicon Valley. "There is no high-tech lingo or business strategy that you can talk that is above my head. I breathe this stuff," he told the AP.
