New NEC LCDs increase brightness by 50%.

NEC said that it will begin shipping three new LCD modules targeted at outdoor sub-notebook applications in June. The models will come with screen sixes of 8.4" (VGA and SVGA) and 6.5" (VGA) and will be equipped with the firm"s proprietary "super-transmissive natural light" (ST-NLT) technology, which promises improved display of colors on screens that are used in bright daylight. According to the manufacturer, the LCDs offer 50% more brightness than common LCDs and can operate in a temperature range of 14÷° and 158÷° F. Pricing has not been announced.

Myspace.com purges 200,000 user profiles.
Myspace.com is a virtual home for many teenagers and young adults, but around 200,000 users will be sad to find out that their profile pages have been deleted. News Corp, the parent company of Myspace.com, said it has deleted pages that it considered to be hateful or "risquç©". Schools and parental groups have voiced concerns that Myspace pages have crossed the bounds of decency. In some cases, Myspace.com users have even been arrested for their postings.
