Prices for 17" LCD monitor panels continue sliding.

Prices for 17" LCD monitor panels have continued to reach record lows in the first half of this month, with the ASP (average selling price) falling to $145, down from $149 in the second half of last month, according to WitsView Technology. In the first half of January, prices for 17" monitor panels fell to their lowest level in this crystal cycle and prices are continuing to decrease this month due to seasonal effects and continued capacity ramps at panel makers, according to sources.

Kingston offers "ValueRAM" for Intel-based servers.
Kingston announced that it will offer its ValueRAM product family with versions for Intel server platforms. The memory modules can be identified by the addition of the letter "I" and are available as DDR-266, DDR-333 and DDR2-400 versions. Pricing begins at about $105 for a single-rank 512 MByte DDR2-400 module, 1 GByte versions are priced between $226 and $295, and 2 GByte modules $550 and $708. (THG)
