Quantros Announces Partnership with Hospital Accreditation Agency DNV

DNV Accreditation Standards Now Embedded in Quantros Accreditation and Compliance Excellence (ACE) Product MILPITAS, CA November 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Quantros, a leading software and services provider for the healthcare industry, announces that it has partnered with Det Norske Veritas Healthcare, Inc. (DNV). DNV was recognized in 2008 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as an authorized accreditation organization. Quantros will now integrate that company"s accreditation standards into the Quantros ACE software application. DNV"s Executive Vice President, Patrick Horine, explains their role, "Many hospitals across the country are choosing DNV to get more from their accreditation efforts. Our NIAHOSM standards are tightly coupled to the Medicare Conditions of Participation and introduce ISO 9001 quality methods into the hospital setting. We use accreditation surveys as the vehicle to create self-sustaining improvement - continual quality." The DNV standards will be available in the on-line library of ACE, Quantros" accreditation compliance and quality management product. Quantros ACE is a web-based system designed to collect, monitor, report and analyze accreditation and compliance data across all levels of an organization. ACE monitors compliance with multiple accreditation and regulatory standards including those of The Joint Commission, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), ISO and now DNV. DNV is the first new organization to be granted "deeming authority" for Medicare participation in over 30 years. The organization is only one of three recognized accrediting bodies. The Joint Commission and the American Osteopathic Association are the others.
