Sanyo Epson develops 7.1" full HD LCD panel.

Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices today announced the development of a 7.1" direct-view full high-definition (HD) low-temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) LCD panel. Sanyo Epson intends to commercialize the LCD globally for use in such devices as professional video equipment, portable TVs for personal use and in-car systems with terrestrial digital TV (DTV) reception.

AOL steps up online security features.
AOL improved its security software portfolio in an effort to differentiate itself from other internet service providers - mainly services that offer online access for less money. The new "Safety and Security Center" translates into automatically updated anti-virus software, spyware protection, a firewall, and phishing protection, which AOL promises to especially protect broadband users "from new and emerging threats."
