Western Digital: 1.8" HDD Still Requires Further Observation.

While highlighting the power-saving capability for its Caviar GP-series hard-disk drives (HDDs), Western Digital (WD) revealed that it lists the 1.8" HDD segment as an item that requires further observation in terms of cost, demand and possible replacement by solid-state drives (SSDs). Kuo highlighted that the Caviar GP-series features "Green Power" and is ideal for massive storage applications.
